How To Get A Vic Builders Registration
Domestic Builders Registration
In accordance with the Victorian Building Authority, acquiring your Domestic Builders Registration in Victora allows for work to be completed on class 1, 2, and 4 buildings, as well as associated class 10 buildings, so essentially you are able to work on the construction, renovation or maintenance of a home.
There are multiple classes for registration including various classes of limited registration (Certificate III/Trade related such as carpentry, cabinet making, or concreting) through to Project Management and Unlimited registrations.
For the Project Management Registration, you are required to have 2 years of practical experience, and for the Unlimited Registration, you are required to have 3 years of practical experience, with both requiring you also hold not less than the CPC50220 – Diploma of Building and Construction (Building)
In addition to these requirements, there are category specific requirements which may include proof of financial situation, written tests and knowledge questionaires, as well as various fees. We recommend you consult the Victorian Builders Authority website for further details.
