Obtaining Your Builders Licence In New South Wales
How To Get A NSW Builders Licence
Option 1
- Hold a Current Carpentry or Bricklaying contractor licence or Qualified Supervisor Certificate
- 2 Years on-site industry experience working in a wide range of building and construction work (Experience can be undertaken concurrently with your qualification, but must be obtained prior to applying for your builders licence)
- Complete a CPC40120 – Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building)
Or...
Option 2
Without a trade qualification in either Bricklaying or Carpentry, to apply for your Builders Licence in NSW you will need to hold the following:
- CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building) AND the CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building)
- 2 Years on-site industry experience working in a wide range of building and construction work (Experience can be undertaken concurrently with your qualification, but must be obtained prior to applying for your builders licence)
